Joni is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health (LPC-MH) who earned her Master of Education degree from Northern State University. She provides counseling for adults ages 18 and older, as well as couples, offering a compassionate and supportive environment where clients can safely explore life's challenges, discover their strengths, and pursue meaningful change.
Joni believes every person's story is valuable and considers it a privilege to partner with clients as they navigate both life's hardships and its victories. She is committed to building authentic therapeutic relationships that foster healing, resilience, and lasting growth while helping clients move toward the life they desire.
Her counseling approach is personalized to each individual's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based, trauma-informed practices. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), along with other client-centered approaches to promote healing and emotional well-being.
As a licensed minister, Joni also offers faith-integrated counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their Christian beliefs into the therapeutic process. She thoughtfully blends biblical principles with sound clinical practice, supporting clients' emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being while honoring each person's goals, values, and preferences.
Whether clients are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, Joni is dedicated to providing compassionate care, practical tools, and genuine encouragement as they pursue healing, hope, and wholeness. She is currently offering both in-office and telehealth counseling services.
