Sara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who earned her Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Couple and Family Therapy from North Dakota State University. She works with individuals of all ages on issues ranging from trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression to relational or mental health issues that impact parent-child, parent-adolescent, couple, and family relationships. She has also provided services to the LGBTQ population with a focus on transgender issues and mental health. Sara has specialized training in trauma/traumatic grief work with children, adolescents, and their families (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), assessment and treatment of children and families in the birth to 5 population, and is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management services. As a clinician, Sara seeks to honor clients' life experiences and the individual, relational, and societal dynamics that impact their lives while empowering them to make changes for healing.


Sara is based in Aberdeen, SD and is licensed in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota. She is currently offering in-office and telehealth counseling.
